Chapter 01

Stories and site material

Creative work remains protected whether it appears in print, as a download, in the online reader, or on this website.

Ownership

Unless a different credit is shown, books, excerpts, characters, fictional worlds, articles, artwork, photographs, graphics, page design, and original website text are owned by or licensed to Laila Sandleen and their respective rights holders.

Brand identifiers

The Laila Sandleen name, visual identity, book titles, series identifiers, and associated artwork may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or official origin without written permission.

Chapter 02

What readers may do

Purchasing a book means owning the physical copy or receiving a reading licence—not acquiring the copyright in the work.

Personal reading

You may read a lawfully purchased physical edition and use a purchased digital edition through the features and limits supplied with it. Digital access is personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable.

References and quotations

Brief quotation, review, discussion, or other use may be permitted where applicable law allows it. Use only what is reasonably necessary, provide clear attribution, and do not imply endorsement. Permission is required for uses outside legal exceptions.

Chapter 03

Permission is required

The following uses are not included in a normal purchase or visit to the website.

Copying and distribution

Without written permission or a clear legal exception, you may not reproduce, scan, upload, share, email, translate, adapt, sell, rent, publicly display, or distribute a book, digital file, substantial extract, article, image, or other protected material.

  • Do not share download files or account access
  • Do not remove ownership or rights notices
  • Do not bypass download, expiry, or reader controls
  • Do not use protected material to train or populate a commercial content system without permission

Commercial and promotional use

Permission is required before using protected material in merchandise, advertising, events, courses, apps, publications, media productions, or other commercial or promotional projects.

Chapter 04

Reader submissions & rights reports

Respect for rights applies both to store content and to material submitted by readers.

Reviews and submissions

You retain ownership of original reviews or other material you submit. By submitting material for publication, you give Laila Sandleen a non-exclusive permission to store, moderate, reproduce, and display it in connection with the website and books. Only submit material you have the right to use.

Report a possible infringement

If you believe material on the website infringes rights you own or are authorized to represent, contact us with your name and email, identification of the protected work, the exact page or material concerned, the basis of your claim, and a statement that the information supplied is accurate.
